Preserving food at home is a highly effective way to provide nutritious, preservative-free meals, while significantly reducing grocery bills and saving time on daily cooking. By utilizing methods like canning, freezing, and dehydrating, you can lock in nutrients at the peak of freshness, minimize waste, and create a sustainable, self-sufficient household.
To learn how to safely preserve food, join CCE Master Food Preservers this March for our two-part workshop series
Wednesday, March 4 (Part 1) : Introduction to equipment - Participants will start the series by getting to know all the food preservation equipment (canner, dehydrator, steam canner, pressure canner, steam juicer, fermentation, and what jars to use) and the science behind food preservation.
Wednesday, March 25 (Part 2): Hands-on - Participant will us the equipment they learned about in the first workshop.
Attendees will have samples to taste during the workshops along with information and recipes to take home.
