Share your thoughts on Aging and Changing Weather 
About the focus group study:     


September 10, 2025 at 3:00 PM                                                        At the Paynter Senior Center, 914 Strawberry Lane, Clayton, NY 13624                                                                                        Anyone 60 or older can participate.                              


The Cornell Institute for Research on Climate and Aging is conducting a focus group study on aging and extreme weather in your community. This is an opportunity to share your experiences and thoughts on how changing weather patterns and natural hazards, like floods or extreme heat, are affecting your life. 
Why participate? 
Your insights will help shape programs and policies aimed at making New York  a safer, healthier place for older adults in the face of weather-related challenges. You will also receive $25 for your participation & snacks will be provided!  


What to expect: 


- A group discussion with 6-10 other older adults
- Topics will include experiences with extreme weather, preparedness and safety, and awareness of resources.                      -The focus group will last about 1.5 hours.
