Cornell Police hosts an on-campus drop box for the community to safely and securely gather and dispose of unused or expired medicines, including those that contain controlled substances, with no need to speak to Cornell Police and no questions asked. The drop box is located in our lobby in Barton Hall and is available 24/7. Safe medication drop off helps our community decrease illegal diversion of controlled substances, which feeds the opioid epidemic, decreases environmental contamination and reduces the chance of accidental poisonings.
