Crime Alerts:

September 6, 2024

Safety is a priority at Cornell. There are two types of emergency messages – Crime Alerts and CornellALERTS – that you may receive.

What are they and why do I get them? – The Clery Act requires Cornell Police to provide timely warnings when we learn of a serious or continuing threat on or near campus. The alerts tell you how to protect yourself against a specific threatening circumstance that is ongoing or unresolved. Crime alerts are sent to all faculty, staff and students in the campus community via email and are posted to the Emergency, CUInfo and Cornell Police websites.
