Yesterday, as our campus was still processing the threats of violence that impacted many in our community, we issued a Crime Alert regarding a report of a subject carrying a pistol. I wanted to use this week’s newsletter to share an update. Cornell Police and Ithaca Police were able to quickly respond and thoroughly search the area. They then conducted an investigation and determined there was no threat to Cornell. I applaud the community member who saw something suspicious and said something to an officer so we could be sure there was no threat.
